Hello everyone,
I know it’s been quite some weeks since I have written anything here in my section about accessories and even the Cherry Daily’s; I have been pretty busy with assignments, presentations, revisions for class tests and exams coming. But today, having woke up so early, I gave myself some time to write a few things about what I saw on tumblr lately, about some accessories I’d really like to have and to use for my photoshoots (yes, remember I’m a photographer? )
Now the first item that has been driving me pretty mad lately is the vintage bicycle. I have seen a really nice one on tumblr and I would have liked to have a similar bicycle to use on a photoshoot with some nice model, but for all that I know I’ve never since such a bicycle in Mauritius. Or maybe should I make one? (lol) But I did get a picture of the oldest model we have in my country, and maybe if I could lay my hands on one and paint it, it would look a bit like the vintage ones. I remember now that my late grandpa used to have one, but then he is not here anymore and his children must have thrown the relic away. I have not been posting anything here since a few weeks, and last week was a bit crazy on my tumblr what’s with the New York Fashion Week starting (I love Billy Reid, Jason Wu and Christian Siriano most so far and a few others too but you’ll have to read my blog for that, good luck!). But I did save the images of a few accessories I saw and adore!
Let’s get started then!
A few weeks back, I saw this lovely picture of an owl ring on my dash and even though I am not a big fan of big rings, I must say I fell for this straightaway! I need to go shop accessories before summer comes back in Mauritius.
Something that has been obsessing me for a few weeks is that large floppy hat I’ve seen so many people wearing, from Christina Aguilera in “Moves like Jagger” music video to Barbara Palvin in an editorial shoot. So yes I want that hat, in black or white! Should be so cool to wear it in summer or even right now in winter, I would not mind at all!

Now I move on to scarves! While I saw some nice big (really big) scarves made from wool looking so nice on others, I have been digging on my side, on those scarves from Cavalli. The animal prints have gotten to me so bad that I’ve been recently considering buying leopard print scarves. This one from Cavalli is thin and printed, and I like that at certain spots, it clipped with something or knotted. And I also love its length! You should check out the whole Cavalli collection.

Some other items I’ve been digging into so much are shoes like those really nice shoes from BCBG; the ones they used for their runway show last week at NYFW. I wish I could just grab them and run! :D
I’ve had a look at some bags/clutches I definitely want to have, but where to find them here in Mauritius is the big question!!!

I totally am mad for this one! I’m dying to have this!! From its squared-shape, it’s silver tones, everything is just right.
And now here are a few other things I have hearted lately on tumblr:
I love this necklace; it’s design is perfect, a little bit edgy thanks to its spiky metals hanging down; and it looks classy too thanks to its golden colour. I can think of many clothes with which I could wear that and that chain would just make the difference and totally make me look a whole lot better.
Now this golden bracelet design - like a zipper - is so nice and well I would have never thought it would make a good idea for a bracelet.

I saw these lovely clothes on my dash and I fell totally in love with it ! Doesn’t it look so stylish and just perfect for a summer? Unfortunately it is not summer in Mauritius right now; it’s raining and it’s so cold I feel like putting my socks on my feet all the time even in the bathroom ha! Anyways, I was saying about these jeans short that the design on the pockets is so nice and I can’t look at the top or else I’ll be craving for them in my dreams cause of the materials they used to make it, and its colours are so fine!
There are some other lovely things I saw on my dash tonight and that I wanted to add up here.
I said somewhere that I love to sew and lately I have been sewing a dress with a fabric with flowery motifs on it, and I just love it. I have always loved to keep one style and not to mix them up on the same outfit. But then I saw these on my dash and I just feel like I must have the white one or blue one! (The blue one being my favorite just because it has brown also on the bag; and the white because it’s almost exactly the same motifs and the same colour as my dress) I really wish I could get a link to where I can buy them!
