Lately some great projects have been coming up for me and I am so happy that things are finally working out a little bit.  Hopefully I’ll get better at managing my photo shoots and my studies. It is getting so tough now.

But for the moment I did last night a little try at a smokey eye make up with red lips to make a statement. It is not a colour I would usually wear on the lips but well, for this trial, I made it for a friend just to show him what I would do on a model today.

So here are the pictures.

Have a good day and great weekend ahead!

Hello,

After so many months, I decided to continue with this section. I always get lazy when it comes down to writing when i got things on my mind. So there, I am going to add a lot of things to my Accessories section, cause I have been collecting so many pictures and had a lot of ideas about how to use them and complete your looks.

So let me write them and post in a couple of hours.

Friday, September 23, 2011, 12:23 PM

Now I’m pissed off! Tumblr is playing shit with me, cause I typed a post a second time and again it does not appear ! WHAT THE HELL!

Okay, cool down. When I get angry, the post appears.

Today is my birthday, I turned 21. I’m really happy but a bit annoyed at my parents’ plans for my birthday. I told no cake, cause I don’t want the usual dinner with family that is so boring and they don’t like parties at home with everyone dancing. So I want to go to club for once on my birthday and have fun with Emma my best friend, who hehe is gonna make a chocolate cake tonight.  I’m also going to shoot this nice girl from Morocco, Chayma. I think she is really beautiful.

Now yesterday I had a nice day at the beach in the north-west of the island, at Trou-Aux-Biches. Never thought the sand would be so soft and white there! I hate growing darker but then the sun was sooooo good!

A friend of mine took this picture of me on the little jetty at the beach and I so love it! I did an editing on it cause I wanted it to look even better. So here:

So that’s me !

Tonight, I finally decided to write what I should have written weeks ago but me, being so lazy, I did not write one single thing, not even about my first real shoot with an awesome photographer.

So yes, let us start with that shoot I did. For days, my friend Emma had told me she wanted to shoot me and I had said yes. I usually shoot myself in my room, put make up on, undress or dress up and shoot. However, the prospect of another person made me a bit hesitant and let me be true, scared me. But Emma being so nice, she did such a nice job with me; her make-up on me was so fine that my skin was looking so clean and flawless. The shoot started but it started raining. We continued under the rain, tried to use the flash (did not really work as it should), tried the reflector (not much light) and in the end, just shot with plain daylight. I was dress with simply a white fabric over my shorts and strapless top and as the shoot progressed, we added black and orange/yellow and also added other colours to my face. The images in the end came out so nice but still, I think I don’t make that good a model – I’m not really at ease, I don’t really know what to do and what not to do. At least we got decent shots. I was worried about that.

See the other images of the shoot here on Emma Thiternik Grigoryan Facebook page. And see her other works too. She is just amazing.

Among other news in my life, the job as class representative is a bit annoying, having to check my mail all the time. I hope though I can make a good one till the end of my second year.

On another hand, I need to keep up with my assignments; university is taking so much of my time and I can hardly keep up the pace. I’m always waking up so late and I hate going to class late. My law classes are so interesting but the lecturers are just going so fast and it seems I can only understand half the things said in class. I really need to start revising and learning at home more seriously. And this weekend, since I’m not assisting Emma, I can thus read all those effing case law that are waiting like impatient brats on my laptop.

Not forgetting my hobby, I am planning a shoot with two girls I met from AISSEC internship. Chayma and Kristina are from Morocco and Germany respectively and they want to do a shoot on the beach and I think it’s just what I need because I really want to go to the beach and relax. On the 2nd of October I will be shooting again with Michael and Connie, two friends who will be assisting me. It will be my first time shooting a guy but I think Sean will be perfect being so tall and slim and he got good looks which will fit my theme perfectly! I can barely wait for this one! I hope the results will be astonishing for me. I need to try the Joey Essex hairstyle in the meantime.

Oh and also, fashionistas I hope you are all engrossed and totally reblogging like mad whores every single thing about the New York Fashion Week. The Jason Wu Spring 2012 collection and the BCBG Spring 2012 by Max Azria got me totally scotched on the first day! I will write a bit about those two designers’ collection this weekend, just waiting currently to get all the pictures from the runways.

“Not at home” - Peter Broderick

Today was Emma’s birthday. I felt weird buying roses for a friend and writing a text for her, but then, I thought it would be lovely to make her feel really special and nice on her birthday.

Now sitting on my bed writing I feel so calm and a bit melancholic after watching that beautiful movie - Last Night - starring Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet. I love Keira cause she is so pretty and appears fragile and lovely and yet she can be so sad and I can’t say how much I love her British accent :D I have got to say with Guillaume Canet, that sexy French actor I adore, that they make a lovely couple. I would not have thought Sam Worthington was built for a romantic drama but he really played the part nicely. I think the movie as it is could not have been better, it’s light and dramatic, not the type of drama that is gonna make you cry like a baby next to your boyfriend. But it’s sad and depicts the difficult situation a married couple can face when temptation comes in. I really enjoyed the story and the way the movie was filmed altogether.

And last but not least is that wonderful, amazing, beautiful and mesmerizing soundtrack. The theme song “Not at home” is absolutely beautiful especially the piano notes. If you have Last Night on DVD, watch it !

“I’m a new soul trying to communicate”

Tonight, let it be clear I am totally exhausted after the past few days going here and there, listening to endless lectures on law, reading, etc.

On Wednesday, after my lecture early in the morning, I rushed to the seaside, Flic-en-Flac to help and assist my best friend Emma in a shooting. It was so nice to be out there for a while, breathe in the seaside’s air and watch the beautiful sunset there.

And I got to say Emma’s quickly baked cake + the shoot with Delphi (the girl with the most beautiful eyes in the world!) + all our laughs and fun made that afternoon so nice! It was a beautiful day even though I got home so late.

You can see the pictures of the shoot here on Emma’s fan page. She is a really talented, generous, humble and kind photographer. Serious when it comes to her works but at the same time such a lovely person to be with.

See what I meant about the model’s gorgeous eyes! Prettiest I’ve ever seen ! So striking !

“Come to my place, to be safe; we’ll go under the sheets, to listen to the rain and to see my paradise”

Today was a really nice day since weeks. I had such a great feeling when the afternoon started and that I went out to meet my friend Emma. After a long time at the bank, we had a really nice lunch at a French little restaurant, that really offered great lunches typical of the South of France - La Provence. I thought I was just going to take their nice pancakes with ice cream and chocolate and bananas, but then the lovely woman who owns the place, showed up and recommended the “tarte à la poire et au chocolat fondue” - French pie with pear and melted chocolate. I went for that, while Emma choose some Croque-Monsieur with loads of tomatoes and salt of course (my  “thiternik” is crazy about tomatoes, salt and pepper).

When the pie came with the ice tea, I took a bite and I was like hmmm… The pie was still hot, the crust just a little crispy and so tasty, but then the peach and the custard was soooo delicious that I thought it was paradise embodied in a pie ! It was so tasty and amazing that I took a second slice. I think the French definitely make the best pies in the world and I’ve tasted some nice pies but this one was just delicious!

It is strange how just a simple lunch with one of the beautiful persons I know (inside and outside) makes me feel so good and light even if at the end of the day I am so tired and can barely keep my eyes open.

Listening to “My Love” by Sia, one of my favorite songs, I think it’s high time I go watch the final episode of Teen Wolf before hitting the bed. And maybe during the week I’m going to buy one of those jackets I saw at Mango today. Lucky me, there’s sales !

And by the way, that’s the picture of the day for me! It reflects the serenity my heart feels when I’m out with my best friend and that she makes me feel so light ! Good night everyone!

Obviously I just realised I called this page Daily’s cause I wanted to post everyday but then I won’t be able. Assignments are going to be kicking in soon and my time table at university is just perfectly hectic.

Today was one of days when I would have just loved to be able to switch the whole world on mute. Discussions, pointless useless arguments which made me so worn out in class as on Facebook; all this made me fed up. But then, right now, with some good music on, a nice document to read (Introduction to Law of Trusts, yes) makes my night more bearable.

Before going back to my readings, I wanted to share this picture of the day with you :

Sitting in the class reminded me today I so wanted to something creative like buying loads of fabrics and accessories, and SEW! Instead I felt like dozing off on my laptop in class like on this picture (obviously she has a pillow).

Now let me go back to my readings; my class is at 8.30 am (darn!).

I just decided to start a little page to write about my thoughts and what I do. I’ve become so “talkative” lately on my tumblr. It really gets addictive and you only notice it later.

I have just posted the latest shoot of Kristen Stewart by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. I’m not a great fan of the actress but I must admit she really got great looks on these pictures, really looks like those beautiful women from the sixties. (you should maybe know that I have a weakness for these years) So for the photography and the great make up job, I decided to post the pictures. I can’t still figure out why people like her as an actress and think she is great, because there are better younger actresses than her out there and they are so underestimated. Plus I think K-Stew does not really stand out but then, she is the cash cow and I can’t act or even fake acting.

I’m off to watching “The Boys Are Back” with Clive Owen. I really love that movie, not a tear jerker like I thought it would be with the theme. Totally worth watching for its beautiful filming and the movie really reminds me that Clive Owen is a great actor when he is not running after Julia Roberts!
